Justin Avery was born in Traverse City, Michigan where he grew up watching music in his Dad's nightclub Dill’s Olde Town Saloon.  He was exposed to all kinds of music in the nightclub, rock, soul, blues, R&B, jazz etc. Along with being the club owner, his dad played guitar, sang and put together extravagant shows.  His mother was also a prolific artist / painter.  Justin was brought up with music and always had an affinity for performing, writing and recording music.  

 

Justin has played with artists Sheila E, The Emotions, Billy Ray Cyrus, Kay Perry, Spookey Ruben, Meat Loaf and many others.  Justin has also been an arranger on the hit show AMERICAN IDOL for the past 5 years.   

 

As of today, Justin is a full time writer, arranger, producer and artist in Los Angeles.  He produces other artists and also works in film and television as a composer and arranger.  You can also catch him on the weekends playing with Symphony Orchestras across united states and Canada as the main keyboard player for Windborne Music.
